"Migrants' struggles in first person"
From border violence and detention to exclusion
12:00 "Stop pushbacks"
S., a Kurdish migrant and member of the "Solidarity With Migrants" collective (Athens) who was pushed-back several times will speak about pushbacks and the border regime. A discussion with Solidarity with Migrants will take place.
13:00 Struggles against exclusion and the closed camps
Representatives of the African Community in Katsikas Refugee Camp of Ioannina will speak about (a) detention and confinement within the refugee camps & the daily living conditions, (b) asylum procedures: massive rejection of asylum applications according to ethno-racial profiling delays and obstacles, (c) exclusion from health care, (d) lack of financial assistance and basic social services.
14:00 From the Detention Centers - An Attempt for Depatriarchalisation for Empowerment and Emancipation By "The House of Women for Empowerment & Emancipation" who will speak about the conditions in the detention centers of P. Ralli and Amygdaleza, as well as stories and personal experiences, with the possible participation of (ex)detainees.

17:00 Struggles for housing
The "Assembly against evictions" will present the struggle for housing in Thessaloniki.
18:30 Struggles for education
Member(s) of the "Assembly against detention and exclusion" will speak about migrants' exclusion from education. Migrants will share their experiences on self-organizing school classes in the camps.
A migrant and member of Rosa Nera "Parents' assembly" will speak about struggles for 2nd generation migrants' access to education at Chania.
Migration and gender
20:00 Fatima, from Afghanistan, will speak about single mothers / migration and gender issues (difficulties while crossing borders, gender violence by the Greek police, fights against patriarchy both in Greek society and inside migrants' communities).
