Σύνοψη ταινίας
Πολεμική ταινία γυρισμένη στο Κουρδιστάν της Συρίας, εν μέσω της ένοπλης σύγκρουσης. Η ταινία αφηγείται την αληθινή ιστορία μιας ομάδας ατόμων που αντιμετώπισαν τον στρατό για να υπερασπιστούν τη γειτονία τους, (Suriçi, στην πόλη του Amed (Diyarbakir)) και είναι γραμμένη βασιζόμενη στα ημερολόγια των αποθανόντων καθως και στις μαρτυρίες των επιζόντων, που παίζουν επίσης στο έργο.
Πρωταγωνίστρια είναι η Ζίλαν, μια νεαρή γυναίκα που επιστρέφει στην ιδιαίτερη πατρίδα της ψάχνοντας την ανάμνηση του νεκρού αδερφού της, για να βρεθεί εμπλεκόμενη σε μια βίαιη μάχη ενάντια σε στρατό κι αστυνομία. Το έργο εξετάζει οικουμενικές έννοιες όπως ελπίδα, φιλία, θυσία κι απώλεια στον αγώνα μιας ομάδας νεαρών ανθρώπων για ελευθερία.

FULL SYNOPSIS
War feature shot in the Kurdistan of Syria, in the middle of the armed conflict. The film tells the real story of resistance of a group of young people who faced the army to defend their neighbourhood (Suriçi, in the city of Amed) and it is written based on the diaries of those who died and the testimony of the survivors, who also act in the film.
The protagonist is Zilan, a young woman who returns to her hometown looking for the memory of her dead brother, to find herself involved in a violent fight against the police and the army. The film explores universal concepts such as hope, friendship, sacrifice and loss in the struggle for freedom of a group of young people.
